I Finally Started My YouTube Dream

Hi Guys! It has been a while since you've heard from me. I'm sorry I haven't uploaded for a long time. I have a lot on draft but I forgot to upload it sooo...I'm so sorry. I was too busy with school and I took my time off to actually focus since it was quite a tough school year. But well, I'm finally here uploading a blog and shamelessly promoting my YouTube channel!!

So to the few of you who have read my "50 Facts About Me" blog, you would know that I've always wanted to start my own YouTube channel. I wanted to start uploading on YouTube since I was 13 but I was too shy and I didn't really have enough confidence to actually upload. I have been filming since I was 13 to be honest with you but I never really had the guts to upload them because I was too scared to be judged. However, as time goes by I realized that it really is my passion and that I actually enjoy it so why should I let my fear hold me back. So I actually got out of my comfort zone and I uploaded my first ever YouTube video which is called "What I Bought in Manila." I would actually love it if you guys watch my video. I hope you guys could also like and subscribe to my channel and support me through my YouTube journey. You guys could also leave a comment if you want to and share it with your friends. I'll try to blog more for you guys since I have missed creating content that I love for you guys!

xoxo

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Happy Holidays! It has been a long time since my last blog post. But due to busy schedule and considering that I'm in my last year in Junior High, it was quite impossible to do a blog post every Sunday. But nonetheless, I thought of baking one of my favorite cupcake this Holiday Season which you can prepare for your entire family. Simple yet delicious. All you need is a variation of sprinkles!

This time, I didn't bake from scratch because I didn't have enough time to buy the ingredients. Instead, I just used the Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake Mix which works wonders. However, if you have the extra time and budget to bake it from scratch, it is much better.

For the cream cheese frosting, you'll need:
• 4 Ounces Cream Cheese, Softened
• 4 Ounces Unsalted Butter, Softened
• 2 Cups Powdered Sugar
• 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Directions:
1. In a large bowl, mix together butter and cream cheese with an electric mixer.
2. Add the powdered sugar to the mixture. I suggest you add it gradually and taste it every time you add it to the mixture depending on how sweet you want it to be.
3. Once mixture is smooth and creamy, add in the vanilla extract.

Once cupcakes are cooled down, you can start frosting. All you need to make this cupcake beautiful is a variety of sprinkles. However, if you want it to be uniformed, one type of sprinkle is fine. But if you want to make it colorful and festive, I suggest you go out and buy a variety of Holiday themed sprinkles. Enjoy!

Back to School

It's that time of the year again! We are officially starting school tomorrow here in the Philippines. Some actually don't find school very fun and exciting but I do enjoy it a lot. I don't know with you guys but I love going back to school shopping so much. That "I really need that" and "Oh my goodness! That is so cute I need to buy that" feeling. Well, some you don't actually need, you just can't help yourself so you buy it anyway. So here are some things that I bought to make this school year a little better. I'll try to leave some links if I can manage to find these products online but some items can just be found in your local stores.

School shoes are one of my favorite things to buy. Especially when there are a lot of options to choose from. I bought my school shoes from Payless this year. It is a Lower East Side brand. Good quality and good price as well. We can never forget our gym shoes. So my gym shoes are from Nike and it is the Nike Free 5.0 which I bought last summer. Very comfortable and lightweight gym shoes.

So I got quite bag obsessed. I bought 4 bags as you can see in the picture above when we were travelling in Cebu and Davao. My main school back pack is from Herschel and it is a Heritage model. I love the denim fabric and love the fact that it has polka dots. It also has a laptop sleeve which is a plus point for me because I usually need to bring my laptop to school. Another bag that I bought is for my exams or those days when we just have a small school event. I bought it from Terranova and it was literally love at first sight because I love anything black and white. Another bag that I bought is a sackpack from Nike which I seriously love because again, it's black and white. Very handy for school practices on the weekends or just as a gym bag when we have our Physical Education class. Another bag that I bought is from Case Logic which is a very good quality laptop bag for a 13" laptop. Well there are other sizes and colors to choose from but just decided to go with black.

These are the notebooks that I bought. I always buy Blue Feather notebooks because it is very good quality. Also bought a notebook from Spring Leaf which is the "Enjoy life and Travel" one for my homeroom and to scribble some stuff. A Steno Notebook is actually quite handy and I bought a Cattleya one. Blue Feather, Spring Leaf, and Cattleya are on the pricey side but since it's good quality, it's worth it. Also bought bond papers in short and long and as well as a construction paper for arts and crafts. Also bought the basic papers that you will need for school for quizzes, activities, etc.

These are ballpens, pencils, color pencils, pentel pens, highlighter, erasers, whiteout, and sharpener that I bought. Ballpens are from Superbwriter and Frixion Pens. Frixion pens are quite handy. Just don't use it in exams and important documents. You'll surely regret it. Pencils that I bought are Mongol 2 because it is what the school usually requires. Color Pencils are from the Secret Garden coloring book set. Pentel Pens are just basic Lion City pens because I don't actually need really good quality ones. Highlighter is from Stabilo. Erasers are both from Maped. Liquid whiteout is from Dong-A. I prefer liquid ones than the tape ones because it lasts longer. My cute little sharpener is from Mongol.

These are just some random stuff that I need and you might need as well. Laptop is from Apple and it is a 13" MacBook Pro. Two foldable envelopes which are actually better than the usual thin ones that easily get ripped. They are by a brand called Phoenix. Clear envelope by Seagull which I will use to place in my papers so that it won't be crumpled. Clear book is by Go-Win and it has 40 pockets which is really handy because important papers and other things that you need to submit can just be placed in it so that it would look presentable once you pass it. Pencil case doesn't actually have a brand but it is so cute. Page markers are both from Post-it. Scissors are from Scotch. Cutter and stapler are from Maped. USB is from SanDisk. Scientific Calculator is from Casio. Earphones are from Samsung. Glue Stick is from Dong-A. I actually have no idea where my book strap, padlock, and name tag is from but you'll definitely need those stuff.

P.S. To the people who think book straps are weird, it is in fact a life saver.

And last but not least, you will definitely need a hygiene kit. To keep you fresh all day long at school. Comb is from Goody, powder from Johnson's, lip balm from Nivea, hair cuticle coat from Vitress, toothpaste from Colgate, and my toothbrush is from a hotel that we stayed in. So yeah, you can actually add more in your hygiene kit but those are just what I use.

I'll surely be busy as this school year starts again. Considering it is my last year in Junior High School so maybe I'll have lesser blog posts but I'll try my best to post as many as I can. Hope you enjoy your school year!

Cebu & Davao

My family and I went on our last summer vacation before the school year starts. We went to two of our favorite places, Cebu City and Davao City. Two cities that we go to every year because we love the place, food, people, and also great deals for shopping. Reason why I went shopping crazy which made my parents and brother's bank account cry. So, first stop is the Queen City of the South which is Cebu City.

We stayed at the first ever Garden Hotel in Cebu which is Montebello Villa Hotel. It felt really luxurious and the staff were really great. They also serve amazing food. Their service is one of the reasons why people always go back to them every time they visit Cebu. It's just exquisite. Well, we didn't really go on an outdoor adventure. We spent most of our time just inside malls to buy stuff for school and other stuff. Well, because most stores are on sale. It's a better feeling to buy stuff when it's on sale. Am I right? We also went to Vikings on the 28th of May to celebrate my brother's 18th birthday. If you're looking for world class buffet, Vikings is really a must try. Plus they have lots of promos which makes it even better to dine with them.

Chewy Junior SM Seaside Cebu

Second stop, Davao City. My father's land of birth. One of the safest place on earth as well. It's just so calming to be able to walk on the streets of Davao having no fear of any crime that might happen. So we stayed at The Royal Mandaya Hotel. It was filled with lots of media personnel since most of their coverage of updates of the incoming president was there. Well, like in Cebu, we were mostly in malls. But we went to visit my dad's hometown where I got to reunite with my relatives. Which I loved because I was able to catch up with them. We also went to People's Park which was so amazing. Had a lot of fun even though the sun was so bright and the heat was intense. I had a lovely stay in Davao and I will surely not get bored of it.

Surigao del Sur: Enchanted River & Tinuy-an Falls

Enchanted river has been the buzz for quite a while now. Since it's summer, well it surely is the perfect time to travel and see how enchanting the river is. It is a 5-6 hour road trip from Cagayan de Oro. It's best to travel with a big group.

Arriving in Enchanted River was probably the most excited I have ever felt since pictures that are up on the Internet look great. I was not disappointed. Clean environment, fresh air, kindest people I have ever met (no joke), and crystal clear water. It is truly enchanting. What more can I say. If you plan to go to Enchanted River, it's best if you bring your own life vest since all the rentals will be rented once the Enchanted River has opened. And it is a must to bring your own goggles or snorkles and an underwater camera. The water depth is breathtaking and it also has a wide variety of beautiful fishes which is great for a photoshoot. The Enchanted River is a mix between salt water and fresh water which is a nice combination for me because I love salt water because it reminds me of the beach.

While we were in Enchanted River, the staff there told us that it is also a must to visit Tinuy-an Falls since it is beautiful. It is a 3-4 hour road trip from Enchanted River but it was all worth it. The water would have been much stronger and abundant if it weren't El Niño right now but it still looked great. But even though the water was not that abundant, I still actually enjoyed it and found it very beautiful.

Buffalo Wings

So I decided to make one of my favourite which is Buffalo Wings. I'm that person who loves spicy food so whenever I go to a restaurant, I will surely order this if ever they have it. So I made this from scratch and it turned out pretty well. Although I went for mild because it is my first time, it still tasted great and had a bit of kick.

Ingredients:
• 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
• 1 Teaspoon Paprika
• 1 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
• 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
• 10 Chicken Wings
• Oil
• Half a stick of butter
• 1/4 Cup Frank's Hot Sauce
• 1 Dash Ground Pepper
• 1 Dash Garlic Powder

Directions:
1. In a small bowl, mix together flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
2. Cover the chicken wings with the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt mixture. Store in a close container and refrigerate for 1 hour or more.
3. In a small pan, mix together butter, hot sauce, ground pepper, and garlic powder together until well combined and the butter is dissolved. Let it cool.
4. In a deep fryer, fry the chicken. The oil should cover the chicken entirely.
5. Once the chickens have all been cooked, place it in a medium-sized bowl, add the hot sauce mixture and stir together until all the chickens have been covered by the mixture.
6. Put it on a serving dish, serve, and enjoy!

Those are 6 very easy steps. For the sides, I just decided to fry some barbecue powder coated fries. For the Buffalo Wings dip, I decided to just use sour cream. It quite works but it's best dipped in a blue cheese and cream cheese dip or just a ranch dressing. You will surely enjoy the flavor that these buffalo wings have!
