Heart Sugar Cookies

It's too late to make heart sugar cookies since Valentine's Day is already over, but since it's still love month, better late than never! Had all ingredients ready before Valentine's Day, but due to the busy schedule I have, I was only able to make it now. So, these cookies are so easy to bake and as well as so easy to decorate.

Makes 2 dozens
Ingredients you will need are:
• 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
• 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
• 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
• 1 Stick Unsalted Butter
• 1 Cup Sugar
• 1 Large Egg
• 2 Tablespoons Milk
• 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Directions:
1. Whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder.
2. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Then, add milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
3. Gradually add dry mixture to the wet mixture.
4. Roll out dough and cut into desired shape. Cover it with cling wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour. (It is best to refrigerate them so that the shape will remain intact while baking).
5. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
6. Bake for about 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
7. Transfer to wire rack to cool.

You may or may not add icing on top but if you want to, you can make your own royal icing or any icing that you prefer. All I did was just melted white chocolate buttons and added red food colouring to it.

This is best paired with coffee or even hot chocolate. Enjoy your sugar cookies!
